contractPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Financial
Data Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in the
development and implementation of our client's innovative Project
Financial Management Platform. As a Financial Data Analyst, you
will bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions,
ensuring that our platform effectively supports project financial
processes and delivers value to our clients. The ideal candidate
will be proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented, with the
ability to manage a broad range of responsibilities in a fast-paced
and dynamic environment.Responsibilities:Requirements Gathering and
Analysis:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and document
detailed business requirements for the Project Financial Management
Platform.
- Identify and document functional and non-functional
requirements, including data flows, process flows, and system
interfaces.
- Conduct data reconciliation and analysis.
- Familiarity with financial month-end close process.
- Reconcile data from source systems against target; root cause
variances and ensure data integrity across platforms.System Design
and Configuration:
- Design and configure the platform to meet business needs,
ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and user
experience.
- Develop system specifications, data models, and user interface
designs.
- Configure system settings, workflows, and security
permissions.Testing and Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases to
validate system functionality and performance.
- Identify and resolve system defects and issues.
- Conduct user acceptance testing to ensure the platform meets
business requirements.Implementation and Deployment:
- Coordinate with technical teams to deploy and implement the
platform, including data migration, system integration, and user
training.
- Monitor and troubleshoot system performance and address any
issues.Process Improvement and Optimization:
- Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities
for improvement through automation, streamlining, or
re-engineering.
- Develop and implement process improvement initiatives to
enhance efficiency and effectiveness.User Support and
Training:
- Provide training and support to end-users, including developing
user manuals, conducting training sessions, and responding to user
inquiries.
- Assist with ongoing user support activities, including
troubleshooting and resolving issues.Qualifications:
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in information systems,
Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field,
required.
- Minimum of 4-5 years of proven experience as a Business Systems
Analyst, Financial Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar role,
required.
- Understanding of financial data, reports, and financial
statements.
- Strong understanding of project financial management concepts,
processes, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, analysis, and
documentation techniques.
- Strong experience with data reconciliation and data
analysis.
- Experience with system design, configuration, and
implementation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong experience and knowledge of working with financial data
in Excel spreadsheets, expertise in Excel functions and
formulas.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile,
Waterfall).
- Experience with financial systems and ERP systems is a
plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency using MS Office Tools (Word, Excel,
PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook).
