enhance our overall quality of life. The Staff Avionics Test
Software Engineer will participate in all phases of testing
avionics flight hardware for E-Space satellites. - You will work
collaboratively with engineers of various disciplines to develop
the automated test framework for satellite avionics and systems,
including test methods, custom embedded, and PC based test software
development, and ultimately support the rigorous flight-like
testing of satellite hardware.The ideal candidate has 10+ years of
experience in embedded software, Python development, and hardware
testing.This position reports to the Director of Electrical
Engineering and will work closely with the Electrical, Software,
and Systems Engineering teams. - This role is based in our
Saratoga, CA office.What you'll be doing:Develop avionics test
architecture for the satellite as well as specific PCBAsDevelop
embedded firmware for custom avionics test PCBAs in C/C++Develop PC
based automated test control software and GUIs in PythonDevelop
database related code for the storing and processing of test
dataVerification testing of custom test software and hardware
designsDevelop test procedures in collaboration with other
engineering disciplinesSupport automated testing of satellite
electronics at the unit and system levels, as well as anomaly
resolutionWork with flight hardware designers on design-for-test
strategiesContribute to the development of engineering and
production best practices to support efficient manufacturingWhat
you bring to this role:Bachelor of Science degree in Software
Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field10+ years of
experience in embedded C/C++ and Python development and
testingProficiency with electronics hardware, including the ability
to read schematics and PCB layouts, and the ability to perform
basic hardware testing with lab equipmentThe ability to make basic
harnesses for engineering purposesStrong documentation skills for
software architecture designs, test procedures, results, analysis,
etc.Demonstrated success working in a dynamic environmentExtra
points for the following:Master's degree in Software Engineering,
Electrical Engineering, or related fieldExperience with satellite
ground data systemsAbility to design PCBAs including schematics and
PCB layoutProficiency with Altium DesignerSkills with FPGA design
in Verilog or VHDLExperience with mechanical design in
SolidworksThis is a full time, exempt position, based out of our
Saratoga office. - The target base pay for this position is
$150,000 - $210,000 annually. - The total compensation packaged
will be determined by various factors such as your relevant
job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. - We are redefining
how satellites are designed, manufactured and used-so we're looking
for candidates with passion, deep knowledge and direct experience
on LEO satellite component development, design and in-orbit
