routing protocols in large scale networks and solve networking
challenges through routing protocol enhancement designs. You're

scripting languages and test frames works.What you will do:As a
Control Plane Engineer, you'll join an agile team engaged in the
design, development and testing of the Control Plane required for
the Cisco 8000 platforms utilizing experience listed in the basic
and preferred qualifications listed below.Basic Qualifications:
- MS/BS degree in CS/EE/CE or technical equivalent.
- 7+ years' of related work experience.
- Software Development experience using C, C++, and/or
Python.
- Experience developing routing protocol stack in vendor NOS or
in open-source networking stacks like FRR, Quagga.
- A deep understanding of network protocols such as BGP, OSPF,
IS-IS, MPLS, etc.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience and/or knowledge of Segment Routing, L2VPN and EVPN
technologies, BIER and Controller based Solutions.
- Understanding of Software-Defined Networking (SDN) principles,
Network Function Virtualization (NFV), and related technologies
such as OpenFlow, network overlays, and virtualized network
functions.
- Packet forwarding operating systems internals, algorithms, and
computer architecture.
- Experience with MPLS based VPNs (MVPN, L3VPN, L2VPN).
- GIT, Jira, Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline tools.
- Virtualization and container technologies including KVM/Qemu,
Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to identify and resolve complex
network issues, including packet capture analysis, log analysis,
