We're enabling real-time, high-performance systems where privacy is the default, not the exception.Fabric is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Finance / Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and scale our financial operations as we continue to grow. In this critical role, you will work closely with the executive team to ensure throughput-focused financial discipline, optimize our accounting functions, and drive strategic financial initiatives that align with our business goals. A key aspect of your role will be leading the management and delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), ensuring that financial objectives align with the company's overall strategy and long-term goals.About the role...

  • Lead the finance function, overseeing all financial activities, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Apply principles of Theory of Constraints and throughput accounting to optimize financial processes and decision-making.
  • Serve as a thought partner to leadership, quantifying key company metrics and focusing on elevating company throughput while reducing non-essential costs.
  • Collaborate with the executive team on strategic finance initiatives, including forward planning to make key decisions for the company's future.
  • Lead the management and delivery of the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that financial targets are achieved, resources are optimally allocated, and strategic priorities are met.
  • Manage accounting for the hardware supply chain accounting to improve financial performance.
  • Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the company's assets and ensure business continuity.
  • Implement and maintain rigorous accounting practices, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in all financial operations.
  • Prepare and present timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analyses to the executive team and board of directors.
  • Oversee cash flow planning and ensure that funds are available as needed, while also managing relationships with financial institutions.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with investors, including preparing financial presentations, reporting, and communications for current and potential investors.
  • Build and lead a high-performing finance team, effectively delegating tasks and leveraging part-time staff or contractors as needed.Qualification requirements...
    • 15+ years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role within a high-growth technology company. Experience in deep tech, semiconductors, or related industries is a plus.
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field - alternatively, a degree or background in engineering. CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred.
    • Strong strategic thinking and financial planning skills, with a proven track record of implementing accounting discipline and driving organizational efficiency.
    • Experience in applying Theory of Constraints and throughput accounting principles to financial management.
    • Demonstrated ability to be a strategic thought partner to executive leadership, translating financial insights into actionable business strategies.
    • Proficiency in managing COGS and hardware supply chain accounting in a technology-driven environment.
    • Strong leadership skills with experience in building and managing high-performing teams.
