position is for a full-time VP, Corporate & Development Accounting
position to work at EAH Corporate in San Rafael, CA. Qualified
Candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related
field. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in accounting,
with at least 5 years in a similar leadership role at large
multi-location organization, preferably in affordable housing.
Minimum of 5 years of experience directly supervising staff. Salary
range: $135,000 - $270,000 per year; hiring range for new employees
is generally $135,000 - $202,500 per year DOE. Please note an offer
will take into consideration the experience of the final candidate
and the current salary level of individuals working at EAH in a

Provides strategic leadership and oversight of the accounting and
Treasury function for EAH entities (LLC, Corporations, and
subsidiaries) and development and construction of properties
located in different regions. Oversees the financial operations of
the development and corporate accounting teams. Ensures company
accounting procedures conform to generally accepted accounting
principles. Understands and supports the EAH Housing mission and
core values. RESPONSIBILITIES Manages the financial reporting
process, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of financial
statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP and/or
GAAS for internal and external stakeholders. Leads and coordinates
with external auditors to facilitate annual audit process and
address any audit findings or recommendations. Leads and manages
complex accounting processes and implementation of regulatory
guidance. Oversees cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting
activities for corporate entities and development projects.
Collaborates with executive management and senior management across
other departments, such as Operations, IT, Development and REM to
provide strategic guidance and ensures alignment to support
decision-making, cross-functional initiatives, and drive business
growth. Evaluates and improves our accounting software and systems
to streamline processes and improve efficiency and accounting
automation. Takes a primary role in the implementation of
acquired/new business into the financial systems of the company
including identifying and implementing opportunities to scale.
Monitors and analyzes financial performance against budget and
forecast, identifying areas for improvement and implementing
corrective actions as needed. Develops and implements effective
accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with
regulatory requirements and industry standards. Reviews procedures,
agreements, and contracts to ensure that all financial reports are
reflected and reported accurately. Leads and mentors a team of
accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance,
continuous improvement, and professional development. Develops
diverse talent to promote team retention to meet current and future
business needs. Manages relationships with external auditors, tax
advisors, and financial institutions. Stays current on accounting
standards, regulations, and industry trends, and recommend changes
to policies and procedures, as necessary. Actively participates in
EAH's Injury and Illness Prevention Plan Regular and predictable
attendance. Other duties as assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Controller and Accounting staff. Hires, trains,
supervises, motivates, and develops staff; assures staff conforms
to organizational policies and procedures and government
regulations; provides minimal day-to-day guidance and oversight of
subordinates; actively works to promote and recognize performance;
ensures department performance appraisals are completed effectively
and as scheduled. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in accounting or
related field. Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in
accounting, with at least 5 years in a similar leadership role at
large multi-location organization, preferably in affordable
housing. Minimum of 5 years of experience directly supervising
staff. DESIRABLE ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience in the
Construction, LIHTC, nonprofit industry is a plus. CPA
certification preferred. CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECK REQUIREMENTS EAH
Housing conducts criminal background checks on all candidates who
have received a conditional job offer. Once you have received such
an offer, you will be required to submit and pass our criminal
background requirements. EAH also verifies education and employment
history. Any verified discrepancy (resume or online application)
may delay your background check results and/or affect your

onsite housing is a requirement of the position, any household
members over 18 years of age who will be living onsite with the
candidate must also undergo a criminal background check and tenant
screening. Satisfactory completion of background check and
fingerprinting requirements is a requirement of employment with
EAH. DRUG TESTING EAH Housing requires all candidates who have
received a conditional job offer to submit to drug testing within
72 hours from acceptance of our job offer. EAH Housing does not
