an Electrical Engineer to support qualification activities in the
Weapons Subsystem 6 Department. We are a multidisciplinary team
developing and qualifying robust electronic subsystems. The team
provides solutions to technical challenges that directly support
our mission and commitment to national security. This is a highly
collaborative work environment where successful candidates will
create innovative solutions for difficult technical problems,
acquire increasing levels of responsibility, and develop experience
that will help them grow as an effective engineer.On any given day,
you may be called on to: Develop executable tester software code
Evaluate, develop, and debug complex test methods Support
development of tester requirements, particularly related to tester
software Design test fixtures Assemble tester hardware Design and
carry out qualification tests in a variety of environments Analyze
test results Write and provide input to technical
documentationQualifications We RequireBachelor's degree in relevant
discipline and up to two years of experience or advanced degree in
relevant discipline, or engineering experience that demonstrate the
knowledge, skills, and ability to perform independent research and
developmentExperience with technical writing and documentation of
technical workAbility to travel for business up to 25% timeAbility
to obtain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearanceQualifications We
DesireGeneral lab experience including use of oscilloscopes, power
supplies and similar electrical lab equipmentExperience with PCB
design and layoutProficiency with NI LabVIEW software
developmentUnderstanding of NI TestStandAbility to work
independently and collaborate well in a diverse team of designers,
test engineers, and qualification engineersStrong communication and
interpersonal skillsAbility to juggle competing priorities and
deadlinesExperience developing and implementing test plans for
characterization and parametric testingHands-on experience testing
and debugging circuitry, with clear mastery of tools such as
oscilloscopes, logic/network/ spectrum analyzers, function/pulse
generators, etc.Active DOE Q or DoD TS security clearanceAbout Our
TeamWeapons Subsystems 6 supports the weapon stockpile and
modernization programs by stewarding deployed systems and
developing advanced designs for new systems, with a focus on
quality and reliability.Posting DurationThis posting will be open
