a driven R&D Electronics Engineer to join our Weapons Subsystem
group, which is a multidisciplinary team designing and developing
advanced electronic subsystems. This group provides solutions to
technical challenges that directly support our commitment to
national security. This is a highly collaborative work environment
where successful candidates will create innovative solutions for
difficult technical problems and acquire increasing levels of
responsibility.In this dynamic role, you may be performing several
engineering functions, from generating design concepts, developing
and testing electronics prototypes, guide technology maturation
efforts, and qualify innovative designs. You will be supporting
engineering efforts across all phases of product realization from
concept development through full-rate production.On any given day,
you may:Design electronic Printed Wiring Boards and Printed Wiring
Assemblies (PWA) including analog and digital circuit designDevelop
the architecture of higher-level electronic subsystems and systems;
including integration and testing of multiple PWAs into a
subassemblyConduct lab testing of electronic components, devices,
subsystems and systemsAnalyze test results and support root cause
investigationsParticipate in integration activities with other
engineers and product realization teamsDevelop, evaluate, and debug
tester software and firmwareAutomate a variety of microelectronics
test equipmentProvide technical consultation on critical electrical
design elementsPresent at technical design reviewsWrite and provide
input into technical documentationQualifications We
RequireBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or in a related
field plus 2 years of related experience or Master's degree in
Electrical Engineering or in a related field, or equivalent:
engineering or scientific experience and/or achievements that
demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform
independent research and developmentDemonstrated experience in
design and test to include one or more of the following: analog
and/or digital circuit design, and embedded system designAbility to
travel up to 25%Ability to acquire and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level
security clearanceQualifications We DesireExperience working on
engineering design, testing, qualification, production, or related
modeling/simulation projects.Familiarity with development of
specifications for electrical assemblies.Tools/Programs: C/C++,
SPICE, LTSpice, MATLAB, LabVIEW, ModelSim, HDL, KiCAD, EAGLEPCB,
Expedition PCB, Oscilloscopes, Spectrum analyzersExcellent verbal
and written skills, including the ability to develop and present
briefings that are clear and compellingDemonstrated ability to work
well in a team environment and collaborate with internal
organizations and external production facilities and
suppliersMaster's degree in Electrical Engineering or in a related
field plus 2 years related experience, or equivalentActive DOE Q or
DOD TS security clearance.About Our TeamWeapons Subsystems supports
the United States nuclear deterrent by developing advanced
electronics component designs for new systems, stewarding deployed
systems, and maturing technologies and concepts for future systems.
Weapon Subsystems has responsibility for all aspects of
development, including: conceptual design, prototype development
and testing, qualifying the design meets requirements, and
transitioning production work to DOE production agencies. Work is
performed by multidisciplinary teams of electrical engineers,
mechanical engineers, and technologists, in partnership with
project management, quality engineers, and reliability engineers.
Realized products maintain a focus on exceptionally high
confidence, quality, and reliability.Posting DurationThis posting
